Structural Engineer – Telecom Towers

Client:

Our client is a leading telecommunications infrastructure company supporting wireless network development and tower infrastructure across the U.S. and international markets. They are seeking a Structural Engineer to support the design, analysis, modification, and deployment of wireless communication structures.

Short Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Perform structural and mount analyses for towers, monopoles, buildings, foundations, and wireless equipment
  • Design tower reinforcements, extensions, foundations, anchorage, and other structural modifications
  • Prepare structural calculations, engineering reports, drawings, and construction documentation
  • Perform QA/QC reviews of structural analyses and engineering deliverables
  • Support construction activities including RFIs, shop drawings, and technical submittals
  • Conduct site visits and field assessments to verify existing conditions
  • Coordinate with project managers, drafters, contractors, clients, and permitting authorities
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable IBC, TIA-222, ASCE, and other structural standards

You Should Apply If You Have:

  • 3–5+ years of structural engineering experience, ideally within telecom or wireless infrastructure
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license with ability to obtain additional state licenses
  • Experience performing mount analyses and structural assessments for towers, monopoles, tanks, and buildings
  • Strong knowledge of steel, concrete, wood, masonry, foundations, and structural design principles
  • Experience with tnxTower, RISA 3D, Mathcad, Enercalc, or similar structural engineering software
  • Experience developing construction documents and working with permitting requirements
  • Strong project management, technical writing, and communication skills

Preferred: Telecom carrier standards experience, AutoCAD knowledge, Structural Engineering license, and/or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
