Our client is seeking an experienced GP Accounting professional to join the team on a six month consulting engagement. This role will provide additional support to the finance team during a period of increased workload and is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of private equity GP accounting who can contribute with minimal ramp up time.

The consultant will work closely with the firm’s finance and leadership teams, supporting key GP accounting activities and helping ensure accurate and timely reporting. While the position is primarily based in New York City, the onsite schedule offers flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare GP compensation statements and related supporting schedules.
• Calculate and maintain GP carried interest allocations.
• Administer and reconcile vesting schedules.
• Support month end and quarter end GP accounting activities.
• Partner with internal finance and operations teams to ensure accurate reporting and resolve accounting related questions.
• Assist with ad hoc GP accounting projects as needed.

Ideal Background:

• Experience in GP accounting within a private equity firm.
• Hands on experience with GP carry allocations, vesting schedules, and compensation statements is required.
• Ability to work independently and contribute immediately.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
