Title: Director of Integration Operations

Location: Orlando, FL (Travel Required)

Reports To: CEO / CFO / Corporate Development Leadership

The company is a rapidly growing transportation engineering platform backed by private equity investment and actively expanding through acquisitions. The company has successfully completed multiple acquisitions and continues to pursue strategic growth opportunities throughout Florida and the Southeast.

Position Summary

The company is seeking a hands-on Director of Integration Operations to lead post-acquisition integration efforts across newly acquired engineering and consulting firms.

This individual will serve as the primary integration leader responsible for ensuring seamless transition of people, systems, financial processes, project management practices, and operational workflows into the company platform.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating both strategically and tactically. This role requires someone willing to spend significant time onsite at acquired businesses, validate data, drive accountability, and manage complex integration workstreams from diligence through full operational integration.

Key Responsibilities

M&A Integration Leadership

• Lead end-to-end integration efforts for newly acquired companies.
• Develop and manage detailed integration plans, milestones, and timelines.
• Coordinate integration activities across Finance, HR, IT, Operations, and Leadership teams.
• Serve as primary liaison between acquired organizations and leadership.

Systems Integration

• Lead migration and adoption of:
• NetSuite ERP
• Deltek project management systems
• HRIS and payroll platforms
• Timekeeping and expense management systems
• Reporting and business intelligence tools
• Validate data accuracy throughout conversion processes.
• Ensure minimal disruption to ongoing business operations.

Financial Integration

• Lead chart of accounts standardization and migration.
• Support financial reporting alignment and consolidation.
• Validate project financial data, revenue recognition methodologies, and billing structures.
• Partner with Finance leadership on month-end integration activities.

Operational Integration

• Evaluate and align project delivery processes.
• Standardize operational workflows and best practices.
• Drive organizational design initiatives and role alignment.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and synergies.

People & Organizational Integration

• Partner with HR on employee onboarding and transition activities.
• Support communication planning and change management efforts.
• Facilitate leadership alignment and cultural integration.
• Help ensure employee retention during integration periods.

Integration Governance

• Track KPIs and integration milestones.
• Present status updates to executive leadership.
• Escalate risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Ensure successful realization of acquisition objectives.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related field.
• 8-15+ years of operational leadership, integration management, or transformation experience.
• Proven experience leading post-acquisition integrations.
• Strong financial acumen and understanding of ERP implementations.
• Experience with NetSuite.
• Experience with Deltek or similar project-based ERP systems.
• Ability to travel extensively to acquisition locations.

Preferred

• Engineering, architecture, environmental consulting, or AEC industry experience.
• Private equity-backed company experience.
• Experience with multi-location organizations.
• PMP, Lean, Six Sigma, or related certifications.
