Senior Corporate Accountant Consultant

They are seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to join the corporate accounting team on a 6+ month contract to provide gap coverage during a critical period. Responsibilities

  • Lead and support month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analyses across multiple entities and currencies.
  • Analyze and validate revenue recognition to ensure compliance with GAAP and accurate period reporting.
  • Review customer contracts and billing schedules to ensure accurate revenue recognition.
  • Prepare, review, and distribute customer invoices while monitoring collections, accounts receivable, and outstanding balances.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable, unbilled costs, balance sheet accounts, and P&L accounts.
  • Create and maintain customer, project, and contract records within Workday Financials.
  • Produce revenue, incurred cost, and other financial reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Partner with internal teams to resolve billing, revenue recognition, and customer account inquiries.
  • Support financial statement audits and assist with accounting process improvements and system enhancement initiatives.
  • Complete additional accounting analyses and special projects as assigned.

You Should Apply If You Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • 4+ years of corporate accounting or revenue accounting experience within a large, complex organization.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition principles.
  • Experience supporting month end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and external audits.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, and pivot tables.
  • Experience with Workday Financials or another enterprise ERP system is preferred.
  • CPA or active progress toward certification is highly preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment while managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
