Senior Corporate Accountant Consultant
Client Overview
- Our client is a leading global alternative investment firm with a sophisticated finance organization supporting multiple business lines and management companies. They are seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to join the corporate accounting team on a 6+ month contract to provide gap coverage during a critical period. Responsibilities
- Lead and support month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analyses across multiple entities and currencies.
- Analyze and validate revenue recognition to ensure compliance with GAAP and accurate period reporting.
- Review customer contracts and billing schedules to ensure accurate revenue recognition.
- Prepare, review, and distribute customer invoices while monitoring collections, accounts receivable, and outstanding balances.
- Reconcile accounts receivable, unbilled costs, balance sheet accounts, and P&L accounts.
- Create and maintain customer, project, and contract records within Workday Financials.
- Produce revenue, incurred cost, and other financial reports for internal stakeholders.
- Partner with internal teams to resolve billing, revenue recognition, and customer account inquiries.
- Support financial statement audits and assist with accounting process improvements and system enhancement initiatives.
- Complete additional accounting analyses and special projects as assigned.
You Should Apply If You Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 4+ years of corporate accounting or revenue accounting experience within a large, complex organization.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition principles.
- Experience supporting month end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and external audits.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, and pivot tables.
- Experience with Workday Financials or another enterprise ERP system is preferred.
- CPA or active progress toward certification is highly preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment while managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
